Meet the Founder - Shais Raza
Shais is a recent Babson graduate student. Amidst the pandemic he saw the opportunity for people to experience something new. Haircuts at Home!
People felt uncomfortable/unsafe being in enclosed spaces around multiple people, and at the same time salons were operating at limited capacity (decreased revenue, fixed overhead) resulting in salons/barbershops going out of business. This meant there were stylist now looking for work, the goal became to connect local stylist with clients who were interested in getting haircuts at home.
Initially we started with one stylist, Daniella, in June of 2020 we completed 300+ haircuts together before on-boarding other stylist. As of now we have six stylist servicing 75% of Massachusetts and parts of Connecticut.
HouseCuts mission is to deliver safe, convenient, reliable haircuts at home with a local hairdresser/barber in the area that way it's convenient for both parties.
HouseCuts is also looking to change the industry by giving back more to the stylist by allowing them to work independently and take home 80% commission on all services they complete.
